We helped the children of an elderly woman bring action against the nursing home where their mother incurred sores on her left heel and buttock because the staff failed to turn her in bed. The woman had been transferred to the nursing home after being treated for a stroke at a Florida hospital. We obtained a medical expert who examined records to determine that the nursing home was negligent when it didn't follow its own care plan and failed to turn and reposition the elderly woman. The recovery in this matter was $300,000.
